Terms of service

Last updated:

In short

Edix is run by one person. Use it fairly, only with media you have the right to use, and keep one account for yourself. Your clips and music stay on your device. Free edits carry a small mark, paid edits do not, and you may use any of them commercially. We try to keep things running but we cannot promise it.

1. Who we are

Edix (edix.me) is a tool that makes beat synced video edits from your clips and a music track. It is run by Parthil Kukadiya (Draexon), Surat, Gujarat, India. In these terms "we", "us" and "Edix" mean that operator, and "you" means the person using the site.

By using Edix you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. Your account and phone verification

  • You can analyse clips and plan an edit without an account. To render a preview or export a video you need to sign in.
  • Before your first render you verify a phone number. We do this to keep the daily limits fair. We keep only a scrambled hash of the number and its last four digits. See the Privacy Policy.
  • One account per person, and one phone number per account. Making extra accounts to get around limits is not allowed, and the daily limit follows your phone number, not your account.
  • Give us true details and keep your sign in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. If you are under 18, use Edix with a parent or guardian's agreement.

3. Plans, limits and payment

  • There are three plans: Free, Pro and Max. What each one includes, such as renders per day, export size, edit length and number of clips, is listed on the pricing page. That page is part of these terms.
  • Daily limits reset at midnight India time (IST). A preview and an export each count as one render.
  • Pro and Max are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record. They charge you, collect any tax that applies and appear on your statement. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
  • Subscriptions renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
  • We may change prices or plan limits. A change will not affect a period you have already paid for, and we will give notice before it applies to your next renewal.
  • Features marked "Coming soon" are plans, not promises, and are not part of what you are buying today.

4. Using what you make

  • Edits you make with Edix are yours to use, including for commercial work such as client videos, ads or posts that earn money. This applies on every plan.
  • Edits made on the Free plan carry a small "edix.me by draexon" mark. That mark is the condition for free commercial use. Please do not crop, cover or edit it out. Paid plans do not add the mark.
  • We claim no ownership of your clips, your music or your edits.

5. Your content stays on your device

Edix runs in your browser. Your clips, your music and your finished edits are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us. That also means we cannot recover them for you, so keep your own copies.

You are responsible for having the rights to everything you put in. That includes the footage and especially the music. Edix does not give you a licence to any song. If you publish an edit, you are the one who must have permission from the owners of the music and footage, and any platform rules and copyright claims that follow are yours to deal with.

6. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • use Edix to make or share content that is illegal, or that harms, harasses or threatens others, or that sexualises minors;
  • use media you do not have the right to use, or try to pass off other people's work as your own;
  • try to get around limits, the watermark or the phone check, for example by editing the site's code or making extra accounts;
  • attack, overload, scrape or probe the site or its servers, or try to access other people's accounts or data;
  • resell access to Edix, or share one paid account between many people.

You are free to read the open parts of the page and use it normally. We cannot stop every kind of misuse, but if we find it we can limit or remove access.

7. No promise of uptime

Edix is provided "as is" and "as available". It depends on your browser, your device and services run by others, so it may be slow, change, or be down at times. We do not promise that it will be error free, that an edit will come out how you want it, or that it will always be available. Always keep a copy of your source files.

8. Limit of our responsibility

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, lost files or lost opportunities from using Edix, or from not being able to use it. If we are found responsible for a loss, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.

9. Ending your account

  • You can stop using Edix at any time, cancel a subscription, and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
  • We can limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service at risk, or is used to get around limits. If we close a paid account without a good reason, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
  • Sections that by their nature should continue after an account ends, such as responsibility for your media and limits on our liability, still apply.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Edix changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. For big changes we will tell you on the site or by email. If you keep using Edix after a change, you accept the new version. If you do not agree, you can stop and cancel.

11. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Surat, Gujarat have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to court elsewhere. Please write to us first, as most problems can be sorted out without a dispute.
