In short

Your clips, music and edits never leave your device. We keep a small account record: your email, optional name, a hash of your phone number with its last four digits, your plan, and how many renders you did. We do not sell data and we do not run ads. You can ask to see, fix or delete your data at any time.

1. Who is responsible

Parthil Kukadiya (Draexon), Surat, Gujarat, India, runs Edix and decides what is collected and why. This policy follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and, where they apply to you, similar rules elsewhere.

2. What we collect, and why

DataWhy we need it
Email address and, if you give it, your nameTo create your account, sign you in and contact you about your account or a payment.
Phone number, stored as a hash plus the last 4 digits To make daily limits fair and stop repeated accounts. The full number is held by Clerk for verification. We keep only a one way hash (a scrambled value that cannot be turned back into the number) and the last four digits.
Your plan and subscription idsTo know which plan you are on and to match a payment to your account.
Daily render countsTo apply the daily limit for your plan.
A small render log: time, output size, length and number of clipsTo enforce plan limits, fix problems and spot abuse. It does not contain your media.
Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, in server logsTo keep the service secure and running. The hosting provider handles these logs.

We use this data to run the service you asked for. If you contact us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you.

3. What we do not collect

  • Your clips, your music and your finished edits. They are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to us.
  • Your payment card details. Dodo Payments handles payment, and we never see your card number.
  • Advertising or tracking data. We do not run ads and we do not use analytics at the moment.

Edits made on the Free plan carry the visible "edix.me by draexon" mark and also a faint mark you cannot see. The faint mark holds a random code linked to your account, so we can tell which account made an edit if someone removes the visible mark. It contains no personal details. To make the plan, your browser sends us numbers about your audio and clips (beat times and scene scores), never the files themselves. We do not keep those numbers after the plan is made.

4. Who handles data for us

We use these services to run Edix. Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.

  • Clerk: sign in, accounts and phone verification.
  • Dodo Payments: payments, as merchant of record (it charges you and handles tax).
  • Cloudflare: hosting the site and the database that holds your plan and render counts.

Some of these services are based outside India, so your data may be processed in other countries. Dodo Payments, as merchant of record, is the seller to you for payments and has its own privacy policy for the data it collects when you pay.

We do not sell your data, we do not rent it out, and we share it with no one else except when the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account data, plan data and counts: while your account exists. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise them, except what we must keep by law.
  • The hash of your phone number may be kept after you delete your account, only so that the daily limit cannot be reset by making a new account. It cannot be turned back into your number.
  • Render log: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Payment and tax records: kept by Dodo Payments and by us as long as accounting law requires.

6. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, and under general good practice, you can:

  • ask what data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong or out of date;
  • ask us to delete your data and your account;
  • withdraw consent to how we use your data (this may mean we can no longer give you an account);
  • name another person to act for you if you cannot, and complain if you think we got something wrong.

Write to hello@draexon.dev and we will answer within 30 days.

7. How to delete your account

Cancel any paid plan first (see Refunds and cancellation), then email us from the address on the account and ask for deletion. We will remove your account and data as described above and confirm by email. You can also delete the account in your sign in settings if that option is shown there.

8. Cookies and storage

We only use essential cookies and browser storage. The Cookie Policy lists each one.

9. Children

Edix is not meant for children under 18 on their own. We do not knowingly collect data from a child without a parent or guardian's consent. If you think a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We keep as little as we can and protect what we hold: connections use HTTPS, phone numbers are stored as hashes, and access to the data is limited. No service is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For important changes we will tell you on the site or by email.

12. Grievance contact

For privacy questions or complaints, contact the grievance contact: Parthil Kukadiya (Draexon), Surat, Gujarat, India, hello@draexon.dev. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is in place.
