In short

Edix only uses what it needs to work: a sign in session, your light or dark theme, and a note of your cookie choice. There are no ads and no analytics at the moment, so there is nothing to switch off.

What are cookies and storage

Cookies are small files a site saves in your browser. Browsers also offer "local storage", which does a similar job. We call both "cookies" on this page.

What we use

NameSet byWhat it doesHow long
__session, __client_uat, __clerk_* and similar Clerk (sign in) Keeps you signed in and keeps the sign in secure. Only set when you sign in. The session, up to a few weeks
edix-theme (local storage) Edix Remembers whether you chose light or dark. Until you clear it
edix-consent (local storage) Edix Remembers your cookie choice, with the date and a version number, so we do not ask again each visit. Until you clear it, or until we change the categories

Sign in and bot checks may also load small scripts from Clerk and Cloudflare. They are there to protect sign in and are part of the same essential group.

Essential only

All of the above is essential: the site cannot sign you in, or remember your theme, without them. Because of that they are always on and have no switch. We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking across sites or analytics. If we ever add analytics, it will start switched off and only turn on if you say yes.

Your files are not here

Your clips and music are handled in your browser's memory while you work and are not saved in cookies or uploaded. Closing the tab clears them.

How to change your choice

  • Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page to open the panel and save a new choice.
  • You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Doing that signs you out and resets your theme and this choice.
